Prize Terms and Conditions
Chances to win various prizes are offered to each Member who completes a survey, that they have been invited to take part in by invitation email, by the closing time specified in the invitation email. (a “Survey Respondent”)
An important element of each prize offer is that if a Survey Respondent is drawn as a winner of any prize, their membership details must be correct and up to date at the time of the draw as shown in their log in area at www.buzzthepeople.co.nz.
Buzz Channel reserves the right to ask the Survey Respondent to confirm their details at the time they are contacted as a prize winner and if such details are not correct and up to date, the Survey Respondent forfeits any rights they have to their prize.
Buzz Channel offers three different types of prize draws.
For some surveys Buzz Channel randomly select a specified number of Survey Respondents who will win a prize or prize voucher. This is detailed at the beginning of any survey which is offering prizes or prize vouchers.
In the first week of each month a randomly selected Survey Respondent is drawn from all the surveys that were completed in the preceding month and will win the monthly prize(s) (the “Monthly Prize”). The details of each Monthly Prize will be clearly communicated on the Buzz Channel website. Every time a Survey Respondent completes a survey within a month, that Survey Respondent will get one entry in that month's monthly draw. Monthly Prizes may vary in number, value and type, and may cease to be offered at any time.
New buzzthepeople Membership Prizes:
Buzz Channel may offer prize draw entries to people who become a member of buzzthepeople in a specified period. These prizes will vary in nature and value and details will be clearly specified in any promotional activity and the Buzz Channel website Only people who are signing up to become a member of buzzthepeople for the first time are eligible to go into the draw for a ‘New buzzthepeople Membership Prize’. If Buzz Channel establishes that a person drawn as a winner has been or already is a member of buzzthepeople, the prize is instantly forfeit and a new winner will be drawn.
General Terms and Conditions that apply to all buzzthepeople prize draws
Survey Respondents will be entered into the draw for that survey if any is offered, plus get one entry into the Monthly Prize draws.
All draws will take place within one week of the close of the survey month, and the winner(s) will be notified using the email address provided when they signed up to buzzthepeople (or any subsequent email address provided by the relevant Member via the log in process at www.buzzthepeople.co.nz.
Winners have two working weeks to respond to Buzz Channel to confirm that they wish to accept the prize and to provide their delivery details. If a winner does not respond within two weeks, their prize is automatically forfeited and a second prize winner will be drawn. The same rule applies for any second or subsequent winner drawn.
Buzz Channel will not enter into dialogue with anyone who has not responded within two weeks, no matter what the reason for any delay, including but not limited to if the persons email is not working, has changed or if they are not clearing their email for some reason etc.
The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
All prizes are as stated and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Buzz Channel is not liable for any costs, expenses or liability incurred by any prize winner with respect to the prizes.
Donations to groups, schools, clubs, and charities
If you nominate that the contribution generated by your completion of a survey should go to a Fundraising Group this cannot be treated as a donation for tax purposes.
If you nominate that the contribution generated by your completion of a survey should go towards a Shopping Voucher of your choice the following terms apply:
Each time you complete a survey for Buzz Channel, Buzz Channel will credit your Voucher Reward Total with the number of Points (Bee Points) that Buzz Channel have offered in the invitation email for the completion of that survey.
No Bee Points are offered for participation in ‘Have Your Say’ surveys and these surveys will be clearly communicated when the survey invitation is emailed to you.
When your Voucher Reward Total reaches 2000 or more Bee Points you can click on the 'Request Voucher' link in your membership area to request Buzz Channel to send you a voucher from the Buzz Channel voucher list. When you do this we will ask for your current postal address and this address will only be used to mail you your Voucher.
Vouchers will only be issued in multiples of $20 so Buzz Channel will reset your Voucher Reward Total by the equivalent Bee Points value of the amount of the voucher or vouchers issued to you. This may leave you with a remaining Voucher Reward Total.
Vouchers will be mailed to you within 90 days of Buzz Channel receiving your request.
Buzz Channel reserves the right to vary the value of Bee Points and the number of Bee Points offered for any survey..
At any time prior to you requesting your voucher, you may log in to your membership area and transfer the amount in your Voucher Rewards Total to a Fundraising Group or nominated school.
If you don't complete at least one survey in each 24 month period Buzz Channel reserves the right to expire your Points or cancel your membership, meaning any amounts accrued in your Shopping Voucher total can be cancelled.
